We teach what we most need to learn – the story of my rebrand
In my early thirties, I dreamt of having a flexible work-life so I could start a family, and Kreate Graphics manifested in my back bedroom in May 2005. (Two months later I was pregnant – the Universe was clearly paying attention!)
In between naps and nappy changes, I worked with some amazing small businesses building their brand identities, and my skill set and business evolved.
Beavering away on clients’ brands, I paid scant attention to mine. Until, one day, I felt a twinge of resistance handing out a business card, and it hit me… I’d outgrown my brand identity.
My brand needed me to take time out for reflection, evaluation and reinvention and to get an objective point of view.
With outside help and their wonderful gifts of perspective and insight, I created a strong brand foundation which inspired a fresh and exciting identity, that tells the story of the evolved me.
Desire Branding is my brave new brand identity, which looks, feels and sounds so right and I love her.
The best bit… she connects me with my dream clients, and I then get to share this branding and confidence-boosting experience with them.

It's not all work, work, work
Everything I do is backed by Team Pollitt – my eternally patient husband and tell-it-like-it-is son. They’re my cheerleaders, sounding board, and favourite people to belly laugh and cry with.
We have a slight obsession with France, love a bit of kayaking, have gorge scrambled and lived to tell the tale, and are always up for a game of Rummikub.
In my quiet moments, you’ll find me on a hillside, a yoga mat, salsaing up a storm, or with my nose in a good book (and a glass of wine).

Kate Pollitt is an award-winning business owner, coach and designer, who has worked with hundreds of small businesses across three decades in the Design and Marketing Industry. She has worked for design and print agencies from Accrington to Sydney picking up a wealth of strategic and creative skills along the way. She loves sharing them with Coaches and Consultants to help them grow amazing businesses.

Hot on the press
Kate cut her design teeth learning traditional artwork and pre-press techniques. She’s purchased and managed hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of print, and has long-standing trade print relationships.
Published writer
Kate’s client articles, press releases and ads have been published online, in magazines and newspapers throughout Lancashire and beyond. Her claims to fame are an IKEA recruitment ad and a 1990’s Ultraframe ad in the Radio Times.
Global presence
Although she now prefers to work with clients closer to home, Kate has attracted clients from Europe, Canada and the USA. In 1997, she set up and ran a pre-press art department for a leading print company in Sydney.
